Health Disasters

We all hope that we (or those we love) never have to go to hospital. The sad fact is that it is a very real possibility with very real financial implications.

We can cover ourselves for this by belonging to a medical aid fund. Different levels of cover are available for different needs. You can choose to be on a low cover option that only covers you for major medical expenses (e.g. costs incurred in a hospital and chronic medication) or you can choose to include cover for day-to-day expenses as well. (Day-to-day expenses include consultations with your doctor, prescription medication, optometry services, etc.)

LOW COVER HIGH COVER
MEMBER R313 PER MONTH R1 077 PER MONTH
MEMBER & SPOUSE R613 PER MONTH R1 874 PER MONTH
MEMBER & SPOUSE & CHILD R710 PER MONTH R2 235 PER MONTH

Low cover based on Discovery Health Keycare Plan 2005 rates.
High cover based on Discovery Health Classic Comprehensive Plan 2005 rates.
